EMPOWER VETERAN VOICES
About the Fellowship Program
The National Veteran Arts Museum's Fellowship Program is a transformative initiative designed to empower veteran artists by providing them with the resources, mentorship, and exposure needed to advance their artistic careers.
NVAM Fellows will expand their professional art practice by delivering formal artist talks, leading workshops, and activating the NVAM collection through a hybrid residency. This expansion of their artistic practice enhances their visibility and impact within the community, building bridges between those who have served in the US Armed Services and the broader public.
NVAM's Fellowship Program is committed to ensuring that 50% of the fellows selected are artists of color, recognizing their underrepresentation and historically limited access to opportunities within the arts sector. By prioritizing emerging professional artists of color, NVAM addresses systemic inequities and provides a platform for marginalized voices. Through this fellowship, NVAM aims to foster a vibrant and inclusive arts community where veteran artists can thrive and their unique perspectives can enrich the cultural landscape.
Join us in making a difference! Support NVAM's Fellowship Program and help veteran artists unlock their full potential.
